Vans Vault OG g. i. x “Pony Hair” winter 2018 series

Style 29 May seem like a minor niche by now compared to many of Vans’ classic shoe styles, but it became so popular in the 1970s and 1980s that last year ALYX teamed up with Vans Vault to “wilful” use several pairs of shoes from childhood.

Later, the Anaheim Factory series, featuring retro American Style, also launched the shoe named Style 29 DX, which only appeared in ALYX’s name, to let more people know about this retro shoe with strong historical background. Anheim series not only restore its details, the use of black, white, brown color matching is also the popularity of Style 29 color.

Perhaps it is because the unique retro Style of Style 29 shoes that exudes the brand’s early stage really coincides with the positioning of “Anaheim Factory” Anaheim Factory series. In order to cope with the increasingly cold weather in autumn and winter this year, Vans has brought back the mid-range version of Style 29 — Style 29 Mid DX to our vision.

Ultimately, Style 29 will be the next pair of shoes to be added to the Vans Vault high line this winter, but this time, the Vans Vault is named OG g.i. x. The name includes “OG,” which stands for “vintage,” and “LX,” the signature of the Luxury spinoff.

But the outsole does not see the appearance of waffle bottom, to thick “convex” rubber bottom instead, which vaguely visible “V” Logo.

“Pony Hair” is horse Hair. With the invasion of the cold winter season, OG g.i. x, with its middle band and premium horsehair, is extremely comfortable and warm. The three pairs of shoes featured leopard print on a white background with black stripes, black and brown checker pattern and full black. The black and brown checker pattern is clearly a tribute to the first pair of Vans Vault high-end offshoot. Long horsehair covered the whole body, even the tongue.

The Vans Vault also features three pairs of OG g.i. x with a full-black top cover outsole with edges, a smooth, rounded outsole that retains the usual brown color. The details of shoelaces and stitching are also handled in black, and the “Originals” logo is also presented in white letters on a black background.
