Vans Classics sk8-hi “OTW” 2018 autumn and winter collections

After long-term operation of a brand, Logo is undoubtedly the most eye-catching and representative place. It often represents the character and spirit of the brand and conveys the story and culture of the brand. “Selling logos” has always been a tried-and-true operation in trendy culture. This summer, Vans has incorporated its own logos into the Classics of Vans Classics, and introduced the “Logo Mix/icon battle “series. This month Vans launched another winter offering with the classic high-top sk8-hi.

Vans’ skateboard Logo has a long history: it was based on THE appearance of a traditional skateboard. In THE early days, only THE slogan “OFF THE WALL” was written on THE pattern. However, with THE changes of modern aesthetics, Vans also added its own “Flying -v Logo”, which has become a common pattern on THE tongue and heel of Vans sk8-hi shoes.

This month Vans used the ‘skateboard’ pattern as the main element of the shoe’s body and attached it to both sides to create three new Vans sk8-hi pairs, each in classic black, red and light green. One pair of red Vans sk8-hi seems to be inspired by the Vans skateboard Logo stickers that Vans fans paste at random. The entire body of the shoe is overlapped and densely “stuck” with the Vans Logo, which is very visually shocking.

The other two pairs are three-dimensional embroidery with the large Vans skateboard Logo on the outside of the shoe. A pair of front and rear light green suede with a side blue and white checker case, and a pair of classic black and white. Both pairs have a checkerboard pattern on the inside to create an asymmetric mirror image, while the rest of the details are white.
