Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault sk8-hi SR LX joint collection

Japanese-american and ethnographic artist Taka Hayashi has significantly slowed down the pace of collaboration with the Vans Vault’s high-end offshoots this year. With the coming of autumn and winter season, Taka Hayashi not only brings autumn joint name, Style 138 LX series and winter series successively, but also will launch a series of new joint names based on sk8-hi SR LX in the near future.

In the middle of a cold winter, Taka Hayashi has redesigned one of her favorite sk8-hi shoes and introduced a new model — sk8-hi SR LX. Although be winter is tasted newly, did not use low-key and deep color however, a pair of milky white, a pair of shallow brown show a person instead. Even the iconic Sidestripe, with a dark brown and white outsole edge, USES only thread.

The material requirements of Taka Hayashi are continued: the white version is covered with rarely seen high-grade flax fleece, while the light brown version is made of Taka Hayashi’s favorite brown leather. Both pairs of sk8-hi heels are filled with premium suede, shoelace eyegapes and an ingenious combination of leather and suede.

Although the shoe body has no obvious pattern, the sunrise pattern, which represents the birth of Taka Hayashi who is of Japanese descent and has been used by him all the time, has become the highlight of the whole shoe style: after the “sunrise”, the semi-circle is the center, which shines to both sides. A few “light” of shoe body flank also pass special craft real fold, show “sunrise” stereo vision is experienced.

The cross feather, another Taka Hayashi logo that used to sit on the tongue of the shoe, has been replaced by a black and white triangle. The Vans Logo and “Taka Hayashi” together form the heel of the shoe. The same “signature” pattern: skulls in berets and “field CARDS” with logos on both sides appear on the edge of dark brown and white outsole bags.

The brand new joint series 2018 of Taka Hayashi x Vans Vault has been successively launched in the designated store of Vans Vault. The two pairs of sk8-hi SR LX are priced at 125 USD each
