Paterson x Vans Surf co-branded series

Paterson, a brand of the same name from Paterson, New Jersey, co-branded with Vans Surf branch for the first time this week, introducing a number of items including clothing, accessories and shoe styles, among which three pairs of shoes, Authentic SF, sk8-hi 138 Decon SF and UltraRange tri-lock, are particularly eye-catching, and we also bring a detailed look at this.

Paterson’s signature blue and white print, with Vans, comes from the traditional Japanese “Shibori” warping process, which is a tie-dye print because of its pleats and polygonal pattern. The motif covers the Authentic SF canvas body, sk8-hi 138 Decon SF leather side stripes, and straps for sandals.

Authentic SF is derived from classic shoe Authentic, which is loved by Vans fans for its simple and breathable low-top appearance in summer. With the modification of Vans Surf, this shoe has added a convenient heel design, more comfortable foot feeling and removable and washable UltraCush insole. The whole body is lightsome and breathable canvas completely covers the pattern of skein dyeing, which has visual impact.

Sk8-hi 138 Decon SF is obviously derived from sk8-hi high-top shoes, “Decon” is abbreviated from the English word “Deconstruction”, which means the original thick sponge structure in the shoe collar has been removed, and it adds the half-moon plastic bag head to the shoe head like “Style 138”. It is covered in dark blue canvas and has UltraCush insoles. If you look carefully, you will find tongue marks and insoles are joint signs, and, like Authentic, the edge of the outsole bag also hides a white checker pattern.

UltraRange tri-lock is a brand new sandal by Vans based on one of the major UltraRange shoe designs of recent years. The heel and toe strap are fitted with Velcro tape to adjust the tightness. “Paterson” text can be clearly seen on the heel. The UltraCush outsole is comfortable and soft, with a raised waffle bottom to adapt to various terrain.
