Nike Officially Introduces the 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle Collection

For fifteen years, Nike, Inc. and the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital has been lending hope to its patients through a creative sneaker/apparel design experience called the Doernbecher Freestyle. Now the Nike Doernbecher 2018 Collection has been unveiled, designed by six young patients of the OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Chloe Swientek (10, Portland, Oregon) – Nike Air Force 1 Low; Donovon Dinneen (11, Riddle, Oregon) – Air Jordan XV; Joey Bates (12, Scappoose, Oregon) – Nike SB Dunk Pro Low; Kirsten Brown 916, Salem, Oregon) – Nike Air Max 97; Aiden Barber (9, White City, Oregon) – Nike Air Max 270; Payton Fentress (12, Portland, Oregon) – Nike Zoom Fly SP. Each participant worked closely with a Nike designer over the course of several months to finalize unique designs that feature distinct cues and inspirations from their personal lives.
The 2018 Doernbecher Freestyle collection will release on Dec. 14 on SNKRS North America, with the full apparel collection following on Dec. 15 on nike.com and at select Nike retailers.
